A young sommelier trained at the Servwine school in Alès, based since the beginning of December at 184 Grand-Rue, opposite the Fuster drugstore, Carla Fernandes-Wach combines, at 29, two of her passions: independence and wine.

The world of wine ? “I was born in the heart of the vineyards,” confides the Alsatian by birth.In our country, the wine festival lasts for more than 6 months and I grew up in this environment. The only difference is that here I discovered the freedom and originality of the wines offered by the IGP Cévennes. And I fell in love. »

Everything that is sold here is ultra local, about an hour from Alès

After twelve years in the hotel industry, the former head waiter found the opportunity to design a wine cellar concept, mixing wines, but also beers and gastronomy products with her artistic sensibility through an exhibition calendar.
A concept that extends another: “ everything that is sold here is ultra local, about an hour from Alès. It is a desire to reconcile ecology and economy,explains Carla Fernandes-Wach. The goal is to get the people around you to work and to create a bond that goes beyond simple customer relations. “

To illustrate the strength of the anchoring in the local fabric, the young shopkeeper likes to tell the story of her partner Alexandre Sanchez-Burgat's grandfather, a cabinetmaker by training and craftsman of the back door of the Saint-Jean cathedral.
The link is therefore there and, on the shelves, wines from Mathieu Manifacier (Domaine de Berguerolles), Michael Bourrassol (Domaine des Luces), Guilhem Peladan (Domaine des Arnasseaux), Dorian Martin (domaine de la Lèque), Baptiste Cartier (domaine Deleuze-Rochetin), the Guiraud family (domaine des Loubatières) or even Benjamin Bousharain (domaine de l’Aigalade).
