No planes are taking off or landing this Tuesday, December 17 at Montpellier Méditerranée airport. The National Union of Air Traffic Controllers (SNCTA) has filed a strike notice for this day.
Paris, Nantes, Amsterdam, Oran, Algiers, Fez… All flights have been cancelled since 7:30 am on Tuesday 17 December at Montpellier airport. Only two flights to London are “delayed”.

The national committee of the SNCTA “strongly condemns the abrupt end to negotiations concerning the organization of work for the Ajaccio, Lyon and Montpellier organizations for 2025.” It “warns that the management practiced for months and denounced on several occasions must cease immediately, otherwise it will not hesitate to mobilize the profession more widely.”
Montpellier airport informs that “major disruptions are expected until Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30 a.m. . The Montpellier air traffic controllers' strike also led to the cancellation of all flights to Nîmes and Perpignan.
For its part, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) advises passengers to contact airlines and postpone their trip.
