This government check will soon no longer be paid.

There are not dozens of state aids available to everyone, regardless of income differences. So, when a system is set up to help all households, regardless of their size, it is better to take advantage of it. Because At a time of budgetary restrictions, the payment of a new check to everyone is not expected for tomorrow. Even when it is a question of participating in the financing of mandatory equipment.

It is in this sense that, at the beginning of December, the State created a new check for the French. Objective: to help all households install a connected thermostat in their home. You may have missed this information, but from January 1, 2027, all homes will have to have one. Tenants, owners, primary and secondary residences… There will have to be one everywhere. Except that this equipment is not free, far from it.

From 100 to 1000 euros, the cost of a temperature regulator can quickly add up, according to the readings provided by Hello Watt, a comparator in the energy sector. However, it will therefore be mandatory to proceed with its installation. Faced with this charge imposed by the State, aid has therefore been created: the “Connected heating control boost room by room”. Its amount is not negligible since it starts at 260 euros and can reach 624 euros, depending on the surface area of the accommodation.

To obtain this financial aid, it is necessary to call upon a company authorized by the State, the list of which is available by clicking here. Once the quote has been accepted and the installation carried out, documents must be given to the company, which will take care of transferring them to the State. Then, the premium is paid either by transfer or check, or directly deducted from the invoice, or may correspond to a voucher from the professional who carried out the installation.

You should not delay in taking advantage of this aid since the check will no longer be paid from January 1, 2025. There is therefore only until the end of December to benefit from the system and reduce the bill to comply with with the law.

According to estimates made by the Environment and Energy Management Agency (Ademe), installing a connected thermostat can reduce your heating bill by up to 15%. In fact, thanks to this device, it is possible to set the temperature of the different rooms, in particular according to the hours of presence in the home.
