All retirement pensions will finally increase, here are the new amounts as of January 1st

Spread the love

A turnaround for retirees who will indeed have an increase in their income in a few weeks.

This is the unexpected good news of the day! While they were supposed to suffer from budgetary restrictions, retirees will finally see their basic pension increase as of January 1st. Initially, it had been decided that all seniors would not receive a cent more when the new year began. But after much ranting and negotiations, the copy was finally revised.

In a little over a month, 15 million people will see their incomes slightly higher than before. Slightly, because the revaluation will not be Byzantine either. At least, initially, because a second increase is already scheduled in the months to come. This is in any case what the first revealed outlines suggest.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

In fact, an increase in basic retirement pensions of 0.9% was announced in January. The exact figure should be specified by the end of the year, but it will be of this order of magnitude. This increase only applies to the pension paid by the Pension and Health Insurance Fund. at work and concerns all retirees, regardless of their income level.

This is the pension paid on the 9th of each month, entitled as follows: “Transfer from Carsat – Reason: Retirement insurance". This is the amount which will increase, whether it is the direct pension or the survivor's pension: both will increase.

For basic pensions of €600 to €1,000, this will represent an increase of €5.40 to €9 per month. For a basic pension of €1,500, this will increase to €1,513.50. Not enough to really fill the wallet, even if another piece of good news has been made official.

In July 2025, all retirees who receive less than €1,426.30 net in basic pension will benefit from a new increase. Its level has, at this stage, however, not yet been precise, even if it should be around 1%. Nearly 7 million French people should be concerned.
