David Bort will go “to the end” to assert his rights. – D.R.
David Bort, who wanted to present an opposition list during the elections to the Hérault Departmental Committee, was refused participation by the CSOE. He is contesting.
“There will indeed be two lists in Hérault. The elections will not be able to be held on December 14.” David Bort affirms that the elections will not be able to be held without him.
For the list to be validated, it must include: eighteen members, a doctor with a license for the year 2024-2025 placed before the 11th position, two women placed before the 11th position and finally, all members must hold a manager's license for the year 2024-2025 and have had the quality of leader at least once during the three previous seasons.
The electoral operations monitoring commission (CSOE), composed in particular of a judicial police officer and a justice commissioner, validates or invalidates the list.
Saturday, December 14, the elections will take place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Béziers on the ASBH campus premises.
Invalidated the first time, like that of Cédric Garcia, because they contained too many members, David Bort's list was rejected a second time, on November 22 by the electoral operations monitoring commission. The cause is that four members of his list do not meet the conditions to run. “It's a denial of democracy for the clubs, protests the federal representative. Democracy is two lists and then people have the choice to vote for who they want.”

Who also details the dismay of the members of his list: “They are frustrated, hurt to have been invalidated, while they are all licensed by the Federation.”

Bort hired a lawyer to assert his rights, Me Le Coz, who confided in our columns last week:“Everything is done outside the legal framework. Whatever one may argue. It is in this sense that I will start by sending a formal notice to the rugby authorities so that the election is postponed. If that is not enough, the idea of an interim order before the administrative court is not excluded. Then there are still other legal means…”

Eight days before the election, things could still change, and twists and turns could arrive in the race for the presidency of the CD34. “I only ask to present myself in front of the Hérault clubs, if I lose, there will be no worries…, but in life we must not prevent people from presenting themselves, we are not in North Korea. It is cheating and electoral fraud”, concludes the one who hopes for a postponement of the elections and a reintegration into the electoral process.
