An interactive surprise awaits Squid Game fans who type the name of the series into the Google search bar

Spread the love

Fans of the hit series "Squid Game" have something to rejoice about: Google has integrated an interactive surprise that allows users to immerse themselves in the world of the Korean series. A surprise that arrives just before the launch of the new season.

To discover this surprise, simply type “Squid Game” in the Google search bar. An animation then appears, inviting users to participate in a simplistic version of the game “Red Light, Green Light” (1, 2, 3, Sun).

Interactive and playful

This game, emblematic of the series, is reproduced here in an interactive and fun way. Users must click to move forward when the little girl's back is turned and stop when she turns around, otherwise they will be eliminated. They have six players to try their luck and cross the finish line. The game is available worldwide on both mobile and desktop.

In addition to this collaboration with Google, Netflix had already set foot in the world of gaming by launching video games adapted from its series, including the Korean series. The game “Squid Game: Unleashed” was launched for free on December 17. Available online, you do not need to be a Netflix subscriber to play it.

To promote the second season, several physical events were still organized in different cities around the world. In Paris, a giant “1, 2, 3, sun!” took place on December 1st on the Champs-Elysées.

Season 2 launched on December 26

The second season of “Squid Game” will be launched on December 26 on Netflix, after a three-year wait. The dystopian series had met with thunderous success when it was released in 2021, grabbing the first place among the most-watched non-English series on the platform, according to the official ranking.
