No more metro for Brassens ?
#SETE/PARIS – Seen from Paris, it's an epiphenomenon. But seen from Sète, the news is a stab in the back of pride. The cause ? The RATP is considering destroying the mosaics depicting Georges Brassens and lilacs at the Porte des Lilas station, in homage to the eponymous song by the mustachioed poet. A petition is even circulating to invite the operator, chaired by Jean Castex, a Gers native and former Prime Minister and Mayor of Prades in the Pyrénées-Orientales, to reconsider the project, motivated by water infiltration. The work is dry, but it is not certain that it will be spared.

These two inhabitants of Vaucluse managed, thanks to tools of their own making, to extract no less than 5,000 euros generously donated by the faithful. They will be summoned before the justice of men.
