Farmers' punch operation in Béziers

#HÉRAULT –Around thirty farmers from CR 34, among other things, carried out checks on transporters entering and leaving the Intermarché base at La Méridienne in Béziers this Friday. Objective ? Check the goods on trucks entering and leaving the Intermarché logistics platform. Tires had been installed at the entrances to the roads and on the roundabout, some were set on fire. Around 11:30 a.m., the demonstrators went to the large Leclerc in Montimaran to, this time, check the labeling of the goods, in particular the origins of the fruits, vegetables and meats. Then, they headed to the Customs service in Villeneuve-lès-Béziers to demonstrate their anger. Tensions arose between the demonstrators and the national police.

#GARD –A nurse from Gard is suspected of having significantly inflated the number of Covid-19 tests she carried out. Overall, the investigations have revealed damages that exceed €350,000. Construction professionals sound the alarm

#OCCITANIE – The president of the Occitanie Building Federation, Frédéric Carré, called on Thursday for “five years of stability for the sector (and) to simplify the excess of standards in construction”. Three proposals have been put forward “to get out of the red”: a “multi-year construction programming plan 2025-2030”, “regulatory stability, curb on inflation of standards, rationalization of land sobriety objectives from 2025″ and the “creation of a universal private rental investment regime from 2025”. The sector employs 160,000 people and estimates that 10,000 jobs are threatened in 2025 due to a lack of sufficient construction.
