The former Vannes player had already resumed team training several weeks ago, a little ahead of schedule, but the staff wanted to spare him as much as possible. Anthony Bouthier is now closer than ever to a return to competition. He was also one of the players not in the squad who took part in the collective warm-up before the match between MHR and Bayonne, this Saturday, January 4.

Less than 9 months later

Bouthier (32 years old, 8 caps for the French team) seriously injured his knee during MHR's defeat against Perpignan on April 27, 2024. He is therefore available, less than nine months after his cruciate ligament rupture. Having arrived in Hérault in 2019, his contract ends next June.

The staff also hopes to quickly recover two other players with knee injuries, Georgian left pillar Nika Abuladze and Argentinian fly-half Domingo Miotti.
