Apple smart glasses coming soon: what if it was the chef’s surprise ?

Apple on the traces of Meta ?

In his newsletter of BloombergPower On, Mark Gurman, indeed claims that the brand with the apple could launch connected glasses, but without the latter offering augmented reality. Our colleague specifies:

This category has worked well for Meta in recent quarters, and Apple could therefore try to join the party.

In fact, the Meta Ray-Ban which are sold for a little over 300 euros in France offer photo functions. They also allow you to view live video content, or interact with an AI chatbot, not to mention the possibility of making phone calls, which is already very appreciable.

Giving up these augmented reality features has a main advantage that could end up convincing Apple, and especially its customers: it considerably reduces the bill. It is also a way to release these glasses earlier. If we did not expect them before 2027, these technologies are now widely available, so the Cupertino company could draw much more quickly.

Samsung is also in the game

In any case, it is not the only company to be interested in this market which seems very promising. Recently, the CEO of Qualcomm confirmed that a project of connected glasses is also being considered by Samsung, which will probably collaborate with Google. We will not know more for the moment. As usual, Apple will only announce this potential launch a few days before it hits the shelves.
