Contrary to popular belief, apprenticeships do not only concern technical professions or short courses. “We have developed all our training courses towards apprenticeships, except for dietetics “, underlines Valérie Bourgade, post-baccalaureate manager at the Notre-Dame high school.

For its part, the Notre-Dame high school has been offering a 3rd year “e-commerce/e-marketing” degree since 2019, exclusively through apprenticeships. “Young people today tend to want to enter the working world quickly. Apprenticeships are a springboard, assures Valérie Bourgade. It allows them to continue their studies while working.“
This type of training also meets a demand from employers. “We see that there is a real need for businesses, especially small ones, continues the post-baccalaureate manager of the Notre-Dame high school. Often, they are not equipped to have a merchant site, to ensure communication on social networks… “
The health sector has also started to embrace apprenticeships. At the CFA santé, social et médico-social in Mende, no fewer than 23 training courses are provided for professions as diverse as ambulance driver, nursing assistant, nurse and even specialist educator. “We really advocate apprenticeship, explain Céline Mourgues and Bérénice Blanchet, from the CFA sanitaire et social. It's interesting in terms of integration, professional experience, but also for remuneration. You can even be exempt from tuition fees for certain training courses.“
In Montrodat, there is even a training course preparing for the Professional Certificate of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (BPJEPS). Objective: to become a versatile sports educator. A field that also lends itself particularly well to apprenticeship. “It's a field job“, notes Lionel Prieur, head of the training department.
