The van used by the attackers shows signs of two impacts and caught fire at the intersection of Cours Berriat and Jean-Jaurès, reports France Bleu Isère. Firefighters quickly intervened to put out the fire and the police are also on the scene. The road intersection is closed to traffic, public transport is also at a standstill in the area and the prefecture is calling on residents and passers-by to avoid the area. The prefect of Isère, Louis Laugier, indicates that “a crisis unit is activated to monitor the operations. The perimeter is secured by the police.” And to add: “We recommend the greatest caution in the city center of Grenoble”.
