Since 2018, the Fund for the Development of Associative Life (FDVA) has been financing the operation and innovative projects of small and medium-sized associations.
The Development Fund for Associative Life is made up of two components. FDVA 1 subsidizes the costs related to the training of volunteers. FDVA 2, for its part, helps cover the operating costs and innovative actions of associations. The Gard has more than 17,000 associations on its territory. They operate thanks to the exceptional commitment of around 165,000 volunteers.

In 2024, more than 340 associations received aid, ranging from €340 to €6,500. This represents a total amount of €503,164. The associations supported mainly come from the sports, cultural, socio-cultural, social, or environmental sectors. These funds are intended for both the general financing of their activity and the implementation of projects or actions.
The 2025 FDVA 2 campaign in the Gard has just begun and will continue until February 11, 2025 inclusive.
