< P >For the past two months, “hi the friends” has established itself as an alternative to the loneliness and the sedentary lifestyle of Biterrois retirees. Established since mid-December, this program allows seniors to come together on Thursdays afternoon for a walk and discuss the good times spent. It is the Indian Summer Start-up, a solidarity company of social utility (ESUS), which is at the origin of this initiative whose principle is simple: assisted by a graduate in adapted physical activity (APA), the Participants perform a 45 -minute walk as well as a series of physical exercises. To make the activity more pleasant and fun, they are also led to share anecdotes and experiences lived in the 1950s to 1970s.
