The 41st Rallye Cigalois will set up camp in Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort in the morning, this Friday, December 13, for technical and administrative checks. The race will start early Saturday, for a particularly selective course, typical of the Critérium des Cévennes with, in particular, the La Cadière special stage to be contested three times.
Cancelled by prefectural decision and then finally postponed to September, this Cigalois is back even stronger since there will be nearly 180 crews at the start, spread over the four events: modern (117 entered), historic competition (33), historic regularity (21) and prestige regularity.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000“After the cancellation, explains the organization, we were very worried about the association's finances. It has at least allowed a profitable rapprochement with the supervisory authorities who have understood the issues. The crews have played the game of solidarity and we are very happy with the line-up that we are offering. The fight will be lively, on a much colder terrain.”
In modern, Vivens (DS3 Rally2) wanted to be present after his mishap at the Critérium des Cévennes. Often untouchable on this terrain, he will have to be wary of Pascal Enjolras (Hyundai I 20 often seen on the entry sheets but rarely at the start), Dorian Nicolas (C3 Rally2), the last winner, a little behind at the end of the season, and the Provençal Anthony Puppo, who has been on the podium eight times this season.
In addition to Nicolas and Thierry Brunet, who play in the big leagues, the Gardois, on a playground they love, should make their mark in groups FRC4 and 5, which are very competitive.
In FRC3, Romain Durand, Bagard driver, who will return in rallies from next season, will be there to test the new Clio RC3. We know its top speed!
In FRC4, facing the excellent Florent Pueyo (208), Lionel Nicolas (208) will try to keep up the pace but it is from Jérémie Sérieys, especially, and Nicolas Pougnant, in a Clio 3, that the danger will come.
In FR RallyNat, Serge Dufour (BMW) will provide the show and the podium but the Héraultais Benjamin Cardénas (306) and David Troncy (Clio) are favorites. Facing Guillaume Génesca (Subaru), Vaunageol Cyril Vosahlo (Subaru) will aim for success in the N4 class.
In the small categories of a reduced FRC5 group, Cigalois Patrick Mila (Saxo VTS), with more than thirty signed licenses and perfect knowledge of the terrain, should be at the top of the table.
Departure Saturday from Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort at 7 a.m. for three SS to be covered three times for the first two and twice for the third: Fressac-Pailès (14.50 km) at 8:08 a.m., 12:17 p.m. and 4:26 p.m.; La Cadière-Sumène (1:40 p.m.) at 8:56 a.m., 1:05 p.m., 5:14 p.m.; Brissac-Pompignan (14h 60 km) at 9h49, 13h58.
