Bad news for CAF beneficiaries: the date of payment of the Christmas bonus has been postponed

Spread the love

Created in 1998, the Christmas bonus helps more than 2.3 million households each year. Initially scheduled for December 13, 2024, the latter saw its payment date finally postponed.

We will finally have to wait a few more days. The Christmas bonus, or its real name “exceptional end-of-year bonus” , will be paid as it has been at the end of every year since 1998 to certain beneficiaries of minimum social benefits by the CAF, the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA) and France Travail. The payment, which was scheduled for December 13, 2024, has finally been postponed to December 17, 2024.

The amount remains the same as in previous years. “The exceptional end-of-year bonus known as the Christmas bonus will be 152.45 euros for single people, plus 50% when the household is made up of two people, whether a spouse or a child, and another 30% for each additional child”, declared the Ministry of Labor and Employment with its counterpart in charge of the Budget and Public Accounts, as indicated by Capital.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

What are the amounts paid ?

To benefit from the Christmas bonus, you must receive one of the following benefits: the specific solidarity allowance (ASS); the retirement equivalent allowance (AER); the monthly flat-rate bonus for returning to work; the active solidarity income (RSA), provided that your household's resources do not exceed the amount of the basic RSA corresponding to the composition of your family. It is therefore necessary to have received at least one of these social minima in November or December 2024.
