L’actrice et chanteuse taïwanaise Barbie Hsu, qui s’est notamment fait connaître par la série dramatique "Meteor Garden", est décédée d’une pneumonie à l’âge de 48 ans.
Barbie Hsu was traveling to Japan for the Lunar New Year, according to her little sister.
“My dear and kind sister Barbie Hsu has sadly passed away due to complications from the flu that led to pneumonia,”, Dee Hsu said in a statement released by her elder sister's agent and quoted by the Central News Agency.

Animal rights group PETA said it was “broken” by Barbie Hsu's death, noting that she was “one of the first and biggest stars” to support her.
Barbie and her younger sister Dee rose to fame in the 1990s as a pop duo before moving into TV hosting and comedy.
