On the night of September 27, 2023, Bruno Guillon was the victim of a homejacking at his home in the Paris region. With his wife and son, the France 2 host was threatened by three men, one of whom was armed with a firearm. A kidnapping that left psychological traces.

A few days after the attack, still traumatized, Bruno Guillon had recounted this terrible night on RTL. “It's not even fear. We leave our body, it's a shock. I see my wife with a gun to her head. I see my son who is threatened by two guys […] I'm told that if we ever do anything,they're going to kill me“,he had said, in tears.

This Wednesday, January 22, Bruno Guillon attended the trial of five people suspected of having participated in the organization of this home-jacking. At the Versailles court (Yvelines), the TV and radio man left aside his good humor to evoke the consequences of this aggression on his son, Anatole.

“In reality, they broke the life of a 14-year-old kid at the time of the events”, he let slip, report our colleagues from the Parisien. In tears, Bruno Guillon continued: “He had dreams of studying that he will not do because, because of this attack, it has become complicated at school“, he said, under the emotion-filled gaze of Marion Guillon, his wife.

In front of the judge, Bruno Guillon detailed the post-traumatic shock experienced by his son. “There isn't a single evening when my son goes to bed and asks me if I set the alarm. There isn't a single evening when he hears a noise in the house and he doesn't bang on the wall to ask us what's going on”, he revealed.

During the attack, Bruno Guillon had been sequestered, naked, hands tied, in a room with his son, while his wife was held in another room, threatened with a gun. “It was hell”, he insisted in court. “You have broken up a family and a couple. We, my wife, my son and I, are condemned to be unhappy for the rest of our lives”, he concluded. A year and a half after the events, sadness left place à anger in the face of of the defendants aged 19 to 15 years old 32 years old.
