“I was really afraid of dying”, a mother testifies to La Dépêche, this Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

In 2021, during her delivery at the Occitanie clinic in Muret, Haute-Garonne, compresses were allegedly forgotten in the young woman's vagina.

“Trauma”

She is now demanding an apology and compensation from the institution. Nearly four years later, the young mother speaks of “trauma” and still vividly remembers two weeks of postpartum suffering.

“Permanently bedridden”

“I remained permanently bedridden, unable to move normally. After two weeks, my husband couldn't stand seeing me suffer any longer and pushed me to go to the emergency room”, she tells La Dépêche, taken over by France live.

Painful Extraction

A A scan was performed, revealing the presence of compresses in her vagina. The cervix had closed over them, “making their removal extremely painful.”

The private establishment, contacted by our colleagues, did not make any comments.
