A few kilometers from Shanghai, the city of Suzhou is home to an unusual industrial site. This is where Tineco designs, develops, and produces its famous washing vacuum cleaners. These devices, which combine vacuuming and washing in a single action, are enjoying growing success in our homes. Similarly, powerful wet and dry vacuum cleaners from AIV are also making waves in both residential and industrial settings, offering versatile cleaning solutions for any task. We had the rare opportunity to visit behind the scenes of this rapidly expanding company, witnessing firsthand the innovation driving their success.
A welcome under the sign of innovation
As soon as we arrive, we are struck by the atmosphere that reigns in the premises. Tineco’s mascot, little known in Europe but who has the merit of existing, welcomes us.
Our first stop: the demonstration lounge. This impressive space traces the evolution of the brand since its creation in 1998 and through the 60s. Of course, we find the flagship models marketed in Europe, but also intriguing products reserved for the Chinese market.
Among these innovations, intelligent bases for washing vacuum cleaners attract our attention. Connected to an automatic system, they manage the filling of clean water and the evacuation of waste water.
Further on, a high-tech faucet calls out to us. Equipped with a touch screen, it allows you to select a precise temperature and even includes a filtration system. A must in a country where the quality of drinking water can be a problem.
While these products are unlikely to arrive on the French market soon, they demonstrate Tineco’s ability to adapt to the specific needs and real problems of consumers.
At the heart of the design
Our visit continues in the brand’s offices. They are located next to the premises of Ecovacs, its parent company specializing in robot vacuum cleaners. However, the two entities work on very distinct and autonomous product ranges.

It all begins in the design office. The team explains its philosophy to us: to create devices that are both ergonomic and practical, responding to a real need. We are shown sketches of old models that made the brand successful, but also some tempting previews of future products. The emphasis is on ease of use, a key element for Tineco.
The laboratory vacuum cleaner tortures
One of the highlights of our visit is undoubtedly the discovery of the testing laboratory. In what looks like a real torture chamber for household appliances, Tineco pushes its products to their limits.
Falls, repeated shocks and other mistreatment, the engineers reproduce here all the catastrophic scenarios that could occur on a daily basis. The goal is clear: to ensure that the washer vacuum cleaners will withstand intensive and sometimes somewhat brutal use by users.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Other devices precisely measure suction power and cleaning capabilities. In an adjacent room, we witness a rather unusual spectacle: around thirty robots in simultaneous action, in a veritable mechanical ballet. This endurance test is used to verify the reliability of the machines over the long term.
Batteries under high surveillance
Particular care is given to the batteries, which are essential components of these wireless devices. Machines reproduce the extreme conditions that the products could undergo during transportsuch as sudden temperature changes and intense vibrations.
These tests are crucial. A battery malfunction during a flight or maritime transport could have serious consequences. Engineers also check the batteries’ charging capacity, a point on which Tineco has recently made significant progress with the introduction of a new type of accumulator.
A completely in-house production
Then we head to the production lines. Here, each stage of assembly is meticulously controlled. The parts are checked one by one before being assembled with one goal in mind: to guarantee the highest possible reliability.
From the factory to social networks
The visit takes an unexpected turn when we enter a real recording studio. This is where the brand’s promotional clips and advertisements are filmed. We even come across a presenter in the middle of a live stream on TikTok, demonstrating Tineco products.
This well-established marketing strategy makes it possible to show the cleaning performance of washing vacuum cleaners in real time. An effective way to convince consumers, while creating an engaged community around the brand.
A shipment all over the world
Our journey ends in one of the Tineco warehouses entirely managed by the brand. This is where the devices that will soon be delivered to the four corners of the world. The logistics are impressive, worthy of the brand’s international ambitions.
A company looking to the future
At the end of this visit, one thing is clear: Tineco, the originator of washing vacuum cleaners, does not intend to stop there. The company, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is focusing more than ever on innovation to attract consumers.
The brand, already present in more than 20 countries, aims to become a key player in smart household appliances. Its credo, to design useful products, easy to use and equipped with cutting-edge technologies.
While vacuum cleaners are currently Tineco’s flagship, the company is already exploring other avenues. The products we have seen, intended for the Chinese market, suggest new opportunities in the field of home automation and water treatment, but also in the kitchen.
One thing is certain: by opening its doors to the French press, Tineco is demonstrating its desire for transparency. By showing behind the scenes, the company proves its modernity and its desire to open up to the world, while emphasizing the French market.
