For over a week, Los Angeles has been in the grip of terrible wildfires. Several neighborhoods in the city, including Pacific Palisades, home to many celebrities, have been decimated by the flames. Some residents have also been called to evacuate their homes. Ben Affleck, for example, was seen leaving his home in the Brentwood neighborhood. He decided to join his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their children.

On Sunday, January 12, the actor received a special visit. According to information from TMZ, two FBI agents and two sheriff's deputies showed up in front of his house. A visit that was allegedly motivated by an investigation related to the fires.

Ben Affleck Received FBI Visit Over Drone

Shortly after FBI agents visited Ben Affleck's home, the reason for their visit was revealed. Indeed, a representative from the FBI's press relations office told Page Six: “Members of the FBI Ground Intercept Task Force are conducting activities in the Palisades Fire area regarding unauthorized drone activity”.

The FBI investigation, however, does not appear to directly involve Matt Damon's friend. Indeed, the agents would have visited him to check if he had “video surveillance images from a private drone”. For the reason, the aerial vehicle would have “damaged a super scooper, one of the firefighting planes”. Ben Affleck therefore has nothing to fears on the legal front.

When the Los Angeles wildfires broke out, Ben Affleck immediately went to his three children, Violet (19), Fin (16) and Samuel (12). He evacuated his house acquired after his divorce from Jennifer Lopez to go to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

After ensuring their safety, the Good Will Hunting actor returned home. On Saturday, January 11, he was notably photographed hugging her eldest daughter outside her Brentwood home. The house, which was not damaged by the flames, remains under evacuation orders for the time being.
