A mini PC that fits in the palm of your hand, does that tempt you? If so, you may be interested in the new offer from the French company Bleu Jour, which specializes in this format. In 2014, it became known in the world of tech thanks to the KUBB, a small cubic computer, with dimensions 12 x 12 cm. And today, it returns with a new model, the KUBB mini.
With its dimensions of 82 x 82 x 72 mm, it would be “the world’s smallest fanless computer based on Intel N100”. To launch its new mini computer, Bleu Jour decided to rely on crowdfunding, with the aim of raising 50,000 euros. “The reason for our crowdfunding is to build brand awareness and connect with IT enthusiasts. Our mini PC is ready for mass production”, we can read on the Indiegogo page.
The French company claims that despite its small size, the KUBB mini is powerful. The machine uses an Intel N100 Quad Core processor and has 8, 12, or 16 GB RAM memory. It includes all the technologies expected of a modern PC, such as Wifi 6, Bluetooth and USB ports, and is capable of displaying 4K at 60 Hz on two screens. As for the casing, it is made of aluminum and copper.
Bleu Jour will offer its mini PC in six colors, including red. And in addition to being small, it wouldn't be noisy at all. In fact, the machine does not include any mechanical parts, and the heat generated is dissipated via the chassis. The French company targets both businesses and individuals.
“Powered by the Intel Quad Core N100 processor, it is perfect for use as a desktop PC, thin client, POS solution, video conferencing, school learning and training and will be your fantastic solution for home uses like 4K entertainment, office use or gaming and your most powerful take-anywhere retro gaming rig,” the page says of the crowdfunding campaign.
As part of the crowdfunding campaign, the KUBB Mini is priced at 235 euros. And Bleu Jour intends to deliver to its customers from December 2023.
