Bis repetita for the Central Africans who bowed heavily (0-4) against the imperial Moroccans, three days after having taken the water against these same Atlas Lions (5-0). A heavy score, difficult to predict as the Bamara competed during the first 30 minutes of the match. It took a Ben Seghir of the best evenings to trigger the Moroccan torpedo. He first had to unblock the situation with a cross shot small opposite net (34) before scoring a double in less than 4 minutes at the end of an almost similar situation. A sparkling first period from the Moroccan prodigy who allowed his team to end up with a two-goal lead at half-time. The Central African nightmare was only just beginning.
As soon as the game resumed, Ndobe let his foot drag in the area and conceded a penalty, perfectly converted by En-Nesyri (49th). Enough to weigh down his team who were gradually losing ground. In the 66th minute, Ezzalzouli, clinical in front of goal, transformed a gem of a cross from Rahimi with a clear shot from a tight angle. Morocco then managed the last 20 minutes by playing in an armchair. A resounding victory which allows these Atlas Lions to be at both the best attack in the competition with 12 goals and the best defense with just one small goal conceded against Lesotho.
In this group B of the qualifications for the CAN 2025, Morocco (12 points) consolidates its domination with a 4th victory in as many matches. In second place, Gabon (7 points), winner 2-0 over Lesotho, holds the rope for qualification while there are still slim hopes for the Central African Republic (3 points). However, it will have to win twice in the last two matches.
