The federal government will spend $3 million on drone production in Ukraine to support Kiev's fight against the Russian invasion.
The Defense Minister Bill Blair said Friday that the financial aid was being provided in conjunction with the United Kingdom.
Speaking to a group of US leaders defense, Mr. Blair also announced an investment of 13 million in the initiative of the Czech Republic aimed at supplying munitions to Ukraine.
Announcements of this Friday actually break down funding committed last year, when the Liberal government pledged $500 million in military support.
Minister Blair also provided an update on previously announced donations.
He noted that the first wave of armored vehicles, as well as ten tactical boats promised to Ukraine, should be delivered this summer.
