Car driver dies in collision with lorry in Nîmes

The 33-year-old driver of a car died in an accident this Saturday, January 4, in Nîmes, late in the morning after a collision with a heavy goods vehicle in the Chemin de la Ponge area in Nîmes.

A car driver died in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle this Saturday, around 11 a.m. in Nîmes. The 33-year-old victim could not be resuscitated by firefighters.
This collision took place in the Chemin de la Ponge and Route d'Anduze area. The lorry is said to have wanted to overtake a cyclist and hit the car coming the other way.
An investigation is underway and has been entrusted to the police. Access to the road network has been closed to traffic while emergency services intervene.
