This Saturday, December 7, 2024, the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris officially reopened its doors after six years of work following the devastating fire in 2019. For this historic event, many personalities were present, including former President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni.

Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni made a very remarkable arrival on the forecourt of the cathedral. The former presidential couple were warmly welcomed by Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron before joining other distinguished guests such as François Hollande and his partner Julie Gayet, Michel Barnier and his wife Isabelle Altmayer, Prince William who came solo and Elon Musk.
Carla Bruni attracted all eyes in a sumptuous pearl grey coat-dress by Christian Dior, fitted at the waist. This timeless piece, Aurélien and Giulia's mother had already worn it in 2008 during a state visit to the United Kingdom, when her husband was still president. An emotional ceremony
The reopening ceremony of Notre-Dame was an emotional moment. The cathedral was able to be rebuilt thanks to the meticulous work of many craftsmen and the generosity of patrons from around the world.
Alongside Emmanuel Macron, many heads of state and government were present, such as American President-elect Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Jill Biden, First Lady of the United States, who came to represent her husband Joe Biden. A strong tribute to the firefighters of Paris
During the ceremony, a vibrant tribute was paid to the firefighters of Paris who fought fiercely against the flames in April 2019 to save the cathedral from total destruction. Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni, François Hollande, Julie Gayet, Anne Hidalgo and many guests applauded their heroic work at length.
