Caution advised in the north of Gard and in the Aigoual area due to icy roads

On the Inforoute 30 website, a call for vigilance is being issued to motorists this Tuesday, December 31 morning in the Aigoual and northern Gard sectors, between Barjac and Lussan, due to the presence of black ice on the road.

Freezing fog is making the roads extremely slippery this Tuesday morning in the Barjac, Méjannes-le-Clap and Lussan sectors. According to our colleagues at France bleu Gard Lozère, these traffic conditions have led to two road accidents in Barjac and Le Bouquet. Four people were slightly injured and taken care of by the firefighters.

Mandatory equipment

Equipment is mandatory on the Génolhac side and to access the Mas de la Barque. Snow tires are allowed. On the Espérou and Mont Aigoual side, the roads are icy and snowy, making traffic difficult. Equipment is mandatory for the passes and the Alti Aigoual resort.
