Civil Servants' Salaries to be Paid Later in October: Here's the Expected Date

Spread the love

You will have to wait more than 30 days between the two transfers.

The bank account will have to be expandable in October. Six million French people will be forced to manage their expenses a little differently between now and the next salary payment. Indeed, all civil servants will have to wait 33 days after the last paycheck before seeing the transfer arrive.

This is not the first time this year that this has happened, but teachers, nurses, administrative employees or other magistrates have not necessarily been informed or have ignored the information. While the payment of the September salary has been made on Thursday 26th, we will now have to wait more than a month, due to the schedule established by the various paying agencies.

There are no real rules governing the payment of remuneration. However, a deadline is always set: that of the 30th working day of the month. We have lost you? This is normal. In concrete terms, it is the penultimate day of the month among the working days, working days being from Monday to Friday.

In September, this fell on Thursday 26th (last working day on Monday 30th). In October, it will be Tuesday 29th (last working day Thursday 31st). It is therefore on Tuesday 29th October that the administrations will proceed to pay the salaries of all civil servants. Depending on the processing times by the banks, the pay could therefore not arrive until 31st October.

This major payment delay occurs for the third and final time in the year 2024… before a “bad surprise” to start 2025. Indeed, in December, salaries will be paid much earlier, on the 20th of the month. On the other hand, at the end of January, the transfer will not be made until… the 29th by the administrations! That is 40 days to wait, the longest period of time of the year.
