A recall was launched this Friday, December 13, 2024, concerning a duck foie gras marketed nationwide. This recall follows the possible detection of Listeria monocytogenes, the bacteria responsible for listeriosis, according to Conso Recall.
The affected product is the “Bloc de foie gras de canard du Sud-Ouest” from the Delpeyrat brand. This foie gras, packaged in 540 g vacuum-packed packaging, was available on shelves on Thursday, December 12 before being immediately withdrawn. Its use-by date is March 16, 2025. Consumers can identify the product by the barcode (GTIN) 3067163647869 and the batch number H3410097.
