The "race to the sun", Paris-Nice, will pass through the Gard on March 14th during the 6th stage of the event.
Although Paris-Nice has not stopped in the Gard since 2003, the “race to the sun” will make a brief stop in the department for its 83rd edition.
Condensed into eight days of the Tour de France, the 83rd edition of Paris-Nice will offer for the third consecutive year a team time trial next March where Jonas Vingegaard will be expected.
The 6th stage of Paris-Nice will pass through the Gard.
Presented Tuesday in Versailles, the 2025 route of the “Race to the Sun” (March 9-16) offers a classic architecture with a start in Yvelines, a long diagonal descending to the Côte d'Azur with, along the way, stages for sprinters, a first day for climbers ending at the Loge des Gardes and two explosive final stages around Nice.
A race that will therefore make a brief stop in the Gard department during the 6th stage, Friday March 14, which will link Saint-Julien-en Saint-Alban (Ardèche) to Berre-l'Etang (Bouches du Rhône), 209.8 kilometers long. The route will take the Gard roads between Pont-Saint-Esprit and Remoulins, passing through Bagnols-sur-Cèze before heading towards Barbentane and Bouches-du-Rhône.
