The news broke this morning. Catherine Laborde, TF1's flagship weather presenter from 1988 to 2017, passed away this Tuesday, January 28 at the age of 73. The news was communicated by her sister Françoise Laborde, who spoke in a press release sent to AFP.
“My darling, you left peacefully in your home on the Isle of Yeu that you loved so much, wrote the 71-year-old journalist, specifying that “her daughters Gabrièle and Pia” were at her side when she took her last breath. And to continue: “(…) And we were able to laugh again between sisters while recalling our childhood memories, talking about Mom and Dad and also singing you the songs you loved. You gave us this immense gift of offering us last moments of consciousness and lucidity. You left my darling very gently, silently, peacefully. We love you so much.”
