She specifies that Catherine Laborde was surrounded by her daughters, Gabrièle and Pia and their father Jimmy, as well as her husband Thomas. Her two sisters, Geneviève and Françoise were with her last week.“We were still able to laugh as sisters while talking about our childhood memories, talking about Mom and Dad and also singing you the songs you loved”, says Françoise Laborde.

“You left my darling, very gently”

Catherine Laborde suffered from Lewy body dementia, a condition that causes memory loss, cognitive disorders or even hallucinations and ultimately a loss of autonomy. “You gave us this immense gift of offering us last moments of consciousness and lucidity”, explains her sister.

Accompanied by a photo of the former weather presenter, she writes “You left my darling very gently, silently, peaceful. We love you so much”, before concluding with words from a poem by Charles Baudelaire: “this morning 'the low and heavy sky weighs like a lid, on the groaning spirit prey to long boredom'”.

Her former colleagues also paid tribute to her. “I have so many beautiful memories in my heart” declares Evelyne Dhéliat.Thank you for giving me the desire to do this job”, writes Guillaume Woznica, weather presenter for LCI, a channel of the TF1 group
