Jean-Luc Petitrenaud died on January 10 at the age of 74. Who is Louise, her not unknown daughter ?
He will leave a big void behind him. Jean-Luc Petitrenaud passed away onFriday, January 10, 2025 in Paris at the age of 74. The food journalist had notably presented the TV shows Carte postale gourmande, on France 5, and Les escapades de Petitrenaud, a weekly cooking show still broadcast on France 5, started in September 2006 and which lasted 9 seasons. He had stopped in 2017. The press had then announced that, tired, he would be replaced by Carinne Teyssandier.
These are his children, Louise and Antonin Petitrenaud, who announced the sad news to the ADP. They declared that the gastronome had left “surrounded by his loved ones”. Antonin and Louise also wanted to thank “the people who loved him so much during all these years”.

The latter is not totally unknown to the general public. For several years, the young woman has been passionate about (good) cooking, like her dad. First fascinated by the theater, she first studied dramatic art, training at the Périmony school between 2007 and 2010. Then, thanks to her (very) advantageous physique, she was spotted by the international agency Elite. She worked there as a model from 2007 to 2011.
The young woman then gradually branched out into directing, before launching, like her dad, into culinary chronicles. The general public has probably already spotted her in My cake is the most famous in France, which she co-hosted in 2021 alongside the famous pastry chef Cyril Lignac, her mentor.
Before that, Louise Petitrenaud had already made a few television appearances. Always following in her father's footsteps, she had notably been a food columnist. She had briefly officiated in It's on the program, presented by Sophie Davant. She was then presented in Télématin, hosted by Thierry Beccaro, again to present her culinary columns.
Today, she has a column (still culinary!) on RTL. “I didn't go to journalism school…or cooking school. I fell into the pot when I was very little. My palate developed thanks to my parents”, she explained in the columns of Télé Star, humble, on May 3, 2022.
