On December 9, 2017, hundreds of French people flocked to Paris to pay a final tribute àJohnny Hallyday. 700 motorcyclists had followed the funeral procession along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, before crossing the Concorde towards the Madeleine church.
A Paris Match, the daughter of the late singer says she has only a hazy memory of that day. “I was completely absent. I had tinnitus, I heard whistling in my ears. I didn't understand anything that day. I had no idea it was going to be like that. No one had ever talked to me about it”, she confides to our colleagues.

The French rocker was buried at the marine cemetery on the island of Saint-Barthélemy during an intimate and particularly moving ceremony. If he sang Noir c'est noir on stage, his relatives had preferred a white that was both more luminous and iconoclastic for his funeral punctuated by a choir.
Present at the ceremony, his producer Jean-Claude Camus never visited his late friend again. “Oddly enough, since Covid, I'm afraid to take long trips. I tell myself that it would be annoying if something happened to me”, he justified himself during his appearance on the show Chez Jordan on the C8 channel on December 5th.
Like every year, Laeticia Hallyday and her loved ones commemorate the anniversary of the death of the idol of the young. While Jean-Claude Camus was talking about his “Johnny years” on Jordan de Luxe's microphone last week, she organized a musical vigil “flowery” in the company of her daughter Joy on the grave of the artist who died seven years ago.
Shortly after the ceremony, the widow of the Taulier took to Instagram to publish poignant words : “Today, we want to tell you how much we miss you, how much we love you, and how much you still live in us. You are our star, our guide, our infinite love. Tonight in St Barth. Forever and always. ever, we love you”. Absent from the commemorations, Jade posted an equally touching message directly addressed to her father on the same social network: “No words could describe how much I miss you, there is not a single moment of my day when I don't think of you”.
