They are now “ambassadors of the college”

Since his arrival, principal Christophe Portal has set up this republican ceremony that he considers to be “this very special moment that marks a stage in the lives of young people. A diploma enjoins you to go beyond boundaries and free intelligence. You are the “alumni” of the Simone-de-Beauvoir college. Like the students of the grandes écoles, you deserve congratulations”.

The 2024 session saw 107 graduates, 13 exceeded 18/20, 31 obtained the mention “very good”, 27 “good” and 21 “fairly good”, i.e. more than 7 out of 10 students distinguished. Six students from the Ulis system also obtained the general education certificate.

The top of the class, Cruz Robert, distinguished himself with a particularly high average of 19.325! Now in the second year of high school at Paul-Valéry high school, the teenager has a goal: “I want to study medicine, I hope to be a surgeon.” For Christophe Portal, these young people are now “the ambassadors of Simone-de-Beauvoir college. Enjoy this success. Your diplomas will be used to dream up your world of tomorrow in the face of complex issues, such as climate change.”

The principal thanked the parents for their support: “You have done part of the job for 15 years. Being a parent means worrying all your life” and praised the team at the school of the republic, committed with rigor and kindness to this success. “The school of the republic is the subject of controversy and often mistreated. However, its mission is to provide confidence and support and to believe in one's abilities.”

Let us hope that all these young people will indeed get into the habit of success in order to build the society of tomorrow.
