Disclaimer (Apple TV+): Why this new series has everything going for it ?

It's done, after long months of waiting, Disclaimer is launched on Apple TV+ this Friday, October 11 with the broadcast of the first two episodes. Serious arguments plead for the success of this creation that has many strings to its bow. Here are 3 good reasons to watch this series.

Let's first remember that this fiction is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Renée Knight which was a bestseller in the United States. According to the synopsis provided by the streaming service:

Journalist Catherine Ravenscroft has built her reputation by revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel by an unknown author, she is horrified to realize that she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets. As Catherine struggles to discover the writer's true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys her life and affects her husband Robert.

This scenario promises us long hours of suspense and investigation. The fact that Apple only broadcasts one episode per week will also allow us to think and discuss certain leads as we go along.

An Oscar-winning filmmaker at the helm

Apple TV+ has entrusted this project to Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón. The latter wrote and directed this adaptation from start to finish. Let us recall, and this is not a detail, that he is the winner of five Oscars, and that he has signed great classics like Gravity, Roma, or even Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

He has also surrounded himself with a solid cast. Let us mention Cate Blanchett who plays the main role. With her, other seasoned actors including Kevin Kline (A Fish Called Wanda), Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, The Chicago 7), or Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread) and Jung Ho-Yeon (Squid Game).
