And according to YouTube, during the Olympics, its users watched 40 billion minutes, or more than 650 million hours, of Olympic content.
For comparison, during the Tokyo Olympics, YouTube recorded 200 million hours of viewing. YouTube also indicates that, during Paris 2024, Olympic content accumulated 12 billion views on the platform, and that 850 million unique users followed the Olympics on the platform. As for the Olympic channel, it gained 1.1 million new subscribers.
