For the second consecutive year, Les Flammes will reward rap artists and other urban trends.
This start of the year is that of Aya Nakamura. In the midst of two unjustified controversies over his participation in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the singer is THE star of the 2024 Flames ceremony, which rewards, for her second ;th edition, urban cultures in music. Aya Nakamura, competing in six categories, rises to the top of the nominations for the festivities dedicated to rap and its trends, announced & oacute; this Monday, April 8, the organizers in a press release.
In total, around fifty artists are nominated in the 24 categories that make up the second edition of Les Flammes, which will be held in Paris. on April 25 at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris. The ceremony will be broadcast free of charge and live on YouTube, Twitch and for the first time live on W9, let them know organizers of the event.
The Flames ceremony, inaugurated in 2023, aims to represent popular cultures, notably rap, R& B or African and Caribbean music, faced with criticisms of lack of diversity; which affect classical ceremonies such as the Victoires de la musique or the NRJ Music Awards.
