Les faits se sont produits dimanche 22 décembre en fin de journée, dans le quartier Ovalie à Montpellier. C’est la personne qui nourrissait les chats qui aurait été victime de l’agression.

The national police have opened an investigation following a violent knife attack that occurred on Sunday, December 22, shortly before 6 p.m., in the Ovalie district, west of Montpellier. In a green space located on Avenue Jean-Prat, near the GGL Stadium, a 47-year-old man was stabbed six times with a bladed weapon. According to his statements when emergency services arrived, an individual attacked him because he was feeding stray cats.

The victim in a condition considered serious

Wounded in the neck, arms and back, this resident of the district was taken to hospital in a serious condition after having lost a significant amount of blood, but his life was not in danger. This Monday, December 23, he was still hospitalized and is currently in a coma.

The alleged perpetrator was quickly identified by investigators. Aged 33, he was arrested at his home, near the scene of the attack.

The police still need to question the two men to shed light on what exactly happened.
