Ce mardi 14 janvier, un médecin généraliste de Bayonne a été jugé pour avoir escroqué l’assurance maladie à hauteur de 142 000 euros.
It didn't go under the radar. A 55-year-old man, a general practitioner by trade, was tried this Tuesday by the Bayonne judicial court for having 142,000 euros from the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM).
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000The very exact 142,812 euros were allegedly swindled between August 1, 2018 and December 31, 2024, according to France Bleu. The CPAM denounces an intentional strategy that was revealed thanks to the 4,263 “dubious” invoices made by the practitioner.
The health professional, for his part, mentioned at the bar, during the hearing, a simple “administrative error”.
8,000 euros fine
This astronomical amount corresponds to the multiple psychotherapy and hypnosis sessions that he carried out with patients, wishing for example quitting smoking. The sessions were billed at 85 euros and reimbursed by the Social Security up to 55 euros, this is what is called Ad hoc Consultant Opinions (APC).
However , to be able to practice these sessions one must be a specialist in the fields, which the latter is not. The 55-year-old man therefore does not have the right to perform such acts. The defendant stated “a simple omission” concerning the steps to be taken to obtain the qualification allowing him to be a “specialist doctor in general medicine”.
8,000 euros of suspended fine were requested against the defendant by the prosecution, but also that the court “gives the doctor some time to repay” the amounts unduly received. The court reserved its decision until February 18.< /p>
