Two weeks before the American presidential election, Donald Trump is accused of sexual assault by former model Stacey Williams. In his defense, the Republican candidate denounces a plot by the Democratic camp.

Donald Trump's presidential campaign has been marked by several legal cases, including his convictions in the Stormy Daniels trial. But two weeks before the presidential election, the Republican candidate for the White House is being targeted by accusations of sexual assault, this Thursday, October 24. These accusations come from former model Stacey Williams who accuses Donald Trump for attacking her in 1993 during a meeting with the Trump Tower à New York.

Based on statements by Stacey Williams, reported by The Guardian, the facts reported allegedly occurred during a visit by the model and Jeffrey Epstein, with whom she had a relationship at the time, to the building owned by the billionaire. Donald Trump allegedly pulled the young woman towards him and began touching her in various places, including her waist, buttocks and put his hands “all over [her] breasts”. The former model added that she froze and felt “disgusting and so confused” as she left Trump Tower. She finally mentioned the mutual smiles exchanged by Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein and suspected a “twisted game” between the two men. “I felt like a piece of meat,” she added to the English newspaper. Despite Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump's ties to each other, no evidence has linked the former US president to the financier's sex crimes, who died in prison.

Stacey Williams made the sexual assault allegations against the presidential candidate the US presidential election during a Zoom meeting organized by the group “Survivors for Kamala”, which supports the Democratic vice-president in the election scheduled for November 5. But The Guardianspecifies that the American, now 56, had already shared some elements of this story on social networks. The newspaper also indicates that it had access to a postcard that was allegedly sent by Donald Trump to Stacey Williams after the sexual assault she describes. It's a map of an aerial view of Mar-a-Lago, the billionaire's Palm Beach resort, with a handwritten inscription: “Stacey – Your home away from home. I love you Donald.”

Stacey Williams's relatives confirm that the former model told them about the alleged sexual assault before her public statements on Thursday, October 24. One of these people says he heard about this story between 2005 and 2006.

Donald Trump denies it, his team denounces a maneuver by Kamala Harris

But Stacey Williams' accusations come in the middle of the presidential election campaign, and what's more, in “money time”. A timing that Donald Trump's team is using to deny all the accusations. The Republican candidate's spokesperson at the White House even denounced in a press release a plot set up by candidate Kamala Harris and her team. “These accusations, made by a former Barack Obama campaigner and announced during a Harris campaign conference call two weeks before the election, are completely false. It is clear that this false story was invented by the Harris campaign team,” something Stacey Williams denies, saying she does not want to get involved in politics, but simply “make [her] voice heard.”

While the former model has accused Donald Trump of sexual assault, she has not filed a complaint. As it stands, this case should not give rise to an investigation. The fact remains that the American billionaire is already accused by about twenty women of similar assaults, non-consensual touching and other inappropriate gestures. The 78-year-old man was also found guilty of sexual abuse against journalist E. Jean Carroll in 2023. Faced with these new accusations, his line of conduct remains the same: firmly deny it.
