Donald Trump refuses to debate Kamala Harris again

On Truth Social, Donald Trump announced that he was refusing any further debate with his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, two months before the US presidential election.

“There will be no third debate,” thunders Donald Trump on his platform, Truth Social, this Thursday, September 12. The Republican candidate, who is planning his face-off with Joe Biden in June, refuses to debate again with his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, before the American presidential election on November 5. This news does not come without surprise: it was already suspected the debate between the two candidates, which took place last Tuesday, to be the last.

Kamala Harris does not share her rival's opinion. “We have a duty to the voters to have a new debate,” she wrote on X (ex-Twitter). At the beginning of the week, facing Donald Trump, the Democratic candidate and current vice-president took the upper hand. During the exchanges, she put her opponent in difficulty. In the 24 hours following the exchanges, the Democrat's campaign collected $47 million in donations, the New York Times also reports.

Kamala Harris “should focus on what she should have done” during her term

However, Donald Trump assures that he came out the winner of this debate. And the fact that Kamala Harris wants a rematch means she lost, according to him: “When a boxer loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, 'I want another one.'” The polls clearly show that I won the debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the candidate of the radical left of the Democrats, on Tuesday night, and she immediately asked for a second debate,” the former president continued on Truth Social. And he added: “Kamala [Harris] should focus on what she should have done over the last four years.”
