La projection du film sur  la Caisse alimentaire commune, initiative rassemblant 400 personnes à Montpellier, est projeté ce mardi 21 janvier et suivi d'un débat.

Do you know about the Caisse alimentaire commune ? In Montpellier, a group of associations has launched a pioneering and full-scale experiment of what social security for food could be.

It brings together 400 people who contribute according to their means and who all receive the same amount to eat healthily.

Through four sensitive portraits, this documentary film offers a reflection on the right to food for all.

A real subject, when we know that in 2025, one in ten people will have difficulty feeding themselves every day in France. That’s three times more than ten years ago.

Emergency food aid, launched by Coluche 40 years ago with the Restos du cœur, has become a part of the landscape. But she ends up being overwhelmed.

The Montpellier experience shows that local initiatives exist.

This Tuesday, January 21, at 6 p.m., the screening (single session) will be followed by a debate with Valérie Simonet (director), Thierry Aflalou (Comic Strip Production) and the film's protagonists.

Free admission this Tuesday, January 21 at 6 p.m. at the Diagonal cinema (5 rue de Verdun) while seats last. The film can also be viewed in replay on the France.tv platform, until February 23.
