Obviously, it's easier said than done when you know the average range of electric vehicles which is 400 kilometers. It would probably be a good idea before you leave to look at the proximity and prices of cheaper terminals at motorway exits.

Other solutions exist, such as this application set up by Renault, which allows you to recharge at private homes, and therefore pay for a recharge at a lower rate, although it is inherently longer.

Prices under surveillance

Rest assured, the prices of charging on motorways are not left to the goodwill of operators. The Transport Regulatory Authority is keeping a close eye on things and is imposing price moderation. Otherwise, imagine how crazy the cost of charging at motorway terminals could be…

One thing is for sure: with a little organization, you can always avoid the cost of charging putting too much pressure on your holiday budget. In any case, even if charging costs more on the motorway, you will always drive cleaner and quieter, and cheaper in an electric car compared to a thermal model.
