Electric rollerblading exists and it is French

The CES in Las Vegas is an opportunity for tech players to showcase their latest innovations. And there are both large groups, such as Samsung or LG, and small companies with innovative ideas. For example, in a previous article, we mentioned a company that proposes to replace the AZERTY keyboards of television interfaces with a more suitable keyboard, inspired by the T9. As for the French company AtmosGear, it is taking advantage of this show to present its electric roller skates.

Electric roller skates are French

This company also claims to have invented the very first electric roller skates in the world. To propel the roller skates, AtmosGear has a motor integrated into the wheel. There is also a bag that includes the battery (so as not to weigh down the roller skates). And there is a remote control. This allows you to accelerate, brake or reverse. As you can see in our video below, it is quite simple to use for people who are already used to rollerblading.

Two possible options

According to the AtmosGear website, its roller skates have a maximum speed of 25 km/h and a range of 20 km. The company offers two options. The first is to buy a kit for 650 euros that just includes the plates, the wheels, the bag with the battery, and the remote control. The plates attach to existing pairs of roller skates via adapters. But it is also possible to buy pairs of electric AtmosGear roller skates for 770 euros.

Otherwise, among the French innovations that are creating a buzz during CES, there is also the (magic) connected mirror from Withings that displays health data.
