Elon Musk on the verge of surpassing $1 trillion in personal wealth, a first in human history

With an estimated net worth of $237 billion, Elon Musk is currently the richest person on the planet, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index. And apparently, the Tesla, SpaceX, and X boss’s net worth is set to continue to grow in the coming years, as according to a publication by Informa Connect Academy (via The Guardian), he is well on his way to becoming the first person to surpass $1 trillion. Indeed, the publication estimates that with a personal wealth that is increasing by an average of 109.88% each year, Musk is well on his way to becoming the first billionaire to surpass $1 trillion in personal wealth by 2027.

Informa Connect Academy also predicts a growth in Tesla's valuation. And according to it, this valuation continues to increase at an average rate of 173.32%, Tesla could exceed 1 trillion in capitalization as early as 2025. As a reminder, if Elon Musk is the boss of Tesla, he is not the only shareholder (Tesla is listed on the stock exchange). Therefore, it is normal that Tesla's valuation reaches 1 trillion dollars before Elon Musk's personal fortune. In addition to Tesla, Musk is also the boss of SpaceX, which is a major player in the aerospace and telecommunications fields.

Other people who could surpass $1 trillion in a few years

While Elon Musk is expected to be the first to cross the symbolic $1 trillion mark, the Informa Connect Academy publication publishes a list of other people who could reach this status, as well as the year in which they should reach it. For example, according to this publication, billionaire Gutam Adani, Jensen Huang (CEO of Nvidia) and Indonesian businessman Prajogo Pangestu could also exceed $1 trillion in personal wealth as early as 2028. As for Mark Zuckerberg and Bernard Arnault's family, they would not reach this threshold until 2030.
