Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States, will be inaugurated in January 2025. Several members of his entourage could inherit influential positions in the White House.

Donald Trump has been elected the 47th president of the United States and negotiations have begun over who will serve in his government. The 78-year-old Republican, who will be re-sworn in on January 20, 2025, is surrounded by a close guard and several of its members could have a role to play in his future administration.  Initially, Donald Trump could call members of his family. Among them, his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, wife of Eric, his second son, and co-chair of the Republican National Committee, but also Don Jr. Trump, eldest of Donald Trump's five children, who was the most active in his campaign, reports Le Parisien

Another figure inseparable from the president-elect, Elon Musk, who actively financed the Republican candidate's campaign. He also took advantage of the sounding board of his social network, X, to share his conservative ideas. Donald Trump could entrust him with a mission to audit federal spending, with a view to “drastic” reforms. Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., nephew of the assassinated president in 1963, himself a candidate for election before aligning himself with Trump, is also expected to be part of this government. A former Democrat, he has indicated that he is anti-vaccine on numerous occasions since Covid-19. Trump has indicated that he could play a role in health agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Safety Administration (FDA), the BBC reports.

For his part, Mike Pompeo, Secretary of State during the first Trump administration and a former congressman from Kansas, is expected to be a leading candidate for Secretary of Defense. He could work alongside Michael Waltz, a Florida lawmaker and military veteran who sits on the House Armed Services Committee. Finally, among the profiles of Donald Trump's inner circle, Dan Scavino can question. In charge of social networks during the presidential campaign, he was the billionaire's golf caddy in the 1990s, that is, the person who accompanies the player and carries his bag in particular.
