Donald Trump said on August 19, ucirc;t that he would be ready to entrust a position to responsibilities to Elon Musk if he wins the presidential election in November.
Donald Trump has assured eacute; with Reutersthis Monday, August 19, on the sidelines of a trip to Pennsylvania, that he was ready to go. offer a position à responsibilities Elon Musk if he were re-elected President of the United States next November. Questioned to find out if he was considering appointing the boss of Tesla & a post of advisor or minister, he, in fact, responded in the affirmative: "He's a very intelligent man. I certainly would, if he wanted.
An answer that did not fall on deaf ears. On X, Elon Musk said he was "ready & serve". In this image, he puts himself on stage & the head of a ministry responsible for "efficiencyé government". A position that refers &agrav; the English acronym "Doge", reference & the same internet.
This statement comes as no great surprise. During an interview with Donald Trump by Elon Musk last week on X, the owner of Space X had already seemed to be a candidate for a position in the Trump administration, should the latter be elected in November. He had said that he would like to take part in a commission that would “ensure that taxpayers' money is spent wisely”. An enticing proposition for the former head of state who then complimented his interlocutor:“You are the best cost-cutter,” he had declared, referring to the waves of layoffs at X.
During the exchange, their closeness did not go unnoticed. “I think we are at a turning point in the destiny of civilization and I think we must take the right path. And I think you are on the right path,” the boss of X had said during the interview. Elon Musk had allowed Donald Trump to develop his campaign themes, some of which were well approved of by the boss of X. Donald Trump had notably assured that if he was re-elected, he would set up “the largest deportation in history.” Elon Musk had not failed to to add to it: “We have people flocking in like it's a zombie apocalypse.”
While he was previously on the side of Barack Obama and then Joe Biden, the Tesla boss now claims to be a big supporter of Donald Trump, especially since the assassination attempt on the latter in July. Their rapprochement seems more and more obvious, but how far will it go? ? The result of the presidential election in November could be decisive.
