In August 2023, Emilie Dequenne saw her life completely turned upside down. Indeed, while she was on a set, the actress was not feeling well. And the diagnosis falls: she has aggressive breast cancer.

Emergency surgery, she reported last December that she had had a relapse while she was in complete remission. “I saw my doctor to check on the progress of the treatment and it turns out that unfortunately it is not progressing”, she said in Sept à Huit. “There is a part of my cancer that responds to it and another that does not respond to it, or even progresses”, she confided.

And for the actress, the end-of-year celebrations were not spent with family, in her house, but rather at the hospital. “Resumption of hostilities”,“she wrote on a photo posted on Instagram. “It's a bit long to tell you but my body was not in a state to resume chemo, I had to stay in the hospital for other reasons. But best Christmas ever! I had to share with you my best head”, she manages to joke, with a cap on her head.

Not very encouraging news for this Emilie Dequenne who had confided in complete transparency about her remission. “I was seeing my doctor to check on the progress of the treatment and it turns out that, unfortunately, “it's not progressing well”. 

Her upsetting confidences about cancer

The actress, who learned the terrible news more than a year ago, had then made a big decision:  “At the time my world collapses, I tell myself that I'm going to die… Instantly, I write my will”, she said. A way to allow her loved ones to relieve them in case the worst was inevitable. “At the time, I write wishes, little things that come to me, if something happened to me… On what I want, buried, not buried…”, she concluded.

Chilling confidences for Emilie Dequenne who must therefore be monitored by doctors. Once again, the actress is living through very hard and difficult times. But she promises to give her news regularly. A way also to do cancer prevention.
