With each new season, Emily Cooper comfortably settles into the top of the most-watched series on the video streaming platform for several weeks.

“I think it’s good for France’s image. Emily in Paris is very positive in terms of attractiveness for the country. For me, it’s an excellent initiative,” he explained to the American media outlet Variety during a recent interview. It was also an opportunity for him to talk about his wife’s cameo, which he says he’s proud of.

When Variety reminded him that season 5 of Emily in Paris would take place in Italy, the President of the French Republic seemed determined to remedy the situation. “We’re going to fight hard.
